Tony's Reunion (continued - page 4)
Report by: Debra Pickman
The rest of the crew continued to set up equipment, and plan strategies for the best captures. One of the staff walked behind Tony and saw something odd on the floor. In picking it up there was confusion on his face, “What’s this?” he asked. The few of in the room looked over at him and saw he was holding something black in his hand.
A funny thought immediately hit me, boy that almost looks like our TV remote that we lost from our house a few months ago. As we all got closer to see it better, my heart suddenly jumped. We’d been missing that very remote for three months. Even the yellow rechargeable batteries that had been loaded into it were still intact. The notable difference was that it had been twisted in a strange manner. I envisioned someone holding onto it with two hands; one at either end, then twisting it in opposite directions. The investigator who had found and picked it up reported that the remote was even warm to the touch when it was picked up.
Later a few EVP session’s were done and questions were asked as to who scratched Tony and why. A sort time later, we were in the kitchen going over some of the recordings. There were two computers set up on the counters to do this. This was the first time Tony had been on an investigation and he was unsure of what to do, so he simply observed. Needless to say, we were all observing him as well.
Many of us took pictures at this time and I was focusing on Tony for tell tale signs of trouble. He stood with his back to the basement stairs and seemed a bit nervous. I question if he was OK. “I just feel that something is behind me”, he said. I informed him that at one time a photograph of a red dog had been captured at the top of the stairs, and the fact that the pentagram had been painted on the basement stairs didn’t make one feel that anything in the base area was good natured.
Hearing this information, Tony stepped away from the door and towards the center of the room. Within a few minutes, he was leaning over, along with a few others, to hear the EVP Todd was playing on his laptop. I’m not sure who noticed the scratches first, but it was the trickles of blood that had caught someone’s attention. At closer examination, we found 3 scratches down the back of his right calf. The blood had already dried, and Tony had no idea when it occurred. The scratches were a few inches long but weren’t deep, and Tony gave no inclination of fear or pain
Several minutes later, while continuing to listen to the EVP on the laptop with the rest of us, he received a small thin scratch on his face as well. Many felt we had been pushing Tony’s luck and that he really should go home. We had been on- site for almost an hour already.
We returned home without incident and from what I understand the rest of the group did not stay much longer either. The next morning when I got up Tony showed me his leg where the three scratches had appeared. What I saw seemed oddly like a bruise that might be left from that of a very large man grabbing his leg with excessive force. The part of the bruise depicting the fingers laid across each of the scratches and the rest of the bruise wrapped around his calf. I took several pictures from several angles; however, the bruising is difficult to see on them.
