Sightings First Visit
Edson Williams - a visual effects supervisor specializing in creating illusions, analyzes several of the photos and negatives, Tthe light refraction is shown here and noted as an impressive and non-reproducible effect without great effort
Analyzed – close up view of the Christmas photos which were among several photos analyzed by Edson Williams. Edson attempted to recreate several them including the blue photos and the crayon photo. He was unable to do and reported that if they were manipulated photos it would surely take more than the efforts he had tried.
Setting Up - While the technical crew set up for the initial interview, the director speaks with Tony and Debra.
Three Bloody Scratches – These scratches appeared on Tony during the initial interview with Debra. Tony had been watching the interview on a monitor from the rocking chair in the living room while holding their infant son. Just before the scratches appeared, he had felt a tremendous coldness in the area of his left arm. While the crew asked him questions he tried hard to calm himself and catch his breath.
Melted and Charred – a bib was taken off the baby, set down and picked up approximately 20 seconds later whereas a distinct burnt smell was noted. It was realized that it was a burnt plastic smell and the it was quickly noticed that it was the bib.
Tony's Interview - This is when he felt the cold draft feeling around his mid section. Upon lifting his shirt the director was amazed to see scratches. For the director it was hard to think it was a hoax because Tony's hands had been in view the whole time and the wound was fresh enough that they were just beginning to bleed.
Feeling the Cold – Some of the crew and the Pickmans feel the distinct sensation of coldness.
Specialized Equipment - Howard Heim brought with him when he was asked by Sightings to investigate the house and give his impression of the situation
Temperature Fluctuations -The EMF and digital temperature gauges that lay on the floor were picking up fluctuations.
Pole of Coldness – described as a pole of coldness extending from ceiling to floor. No matter where in this unseen pole you put your hand and regardless of another hand being above or below yours, you could still feel it.
Blackened Petals – a rose which had been sitting in the windowsill and freshly picked the day before, was found singed around the edges of each petal. Reviewing the footage taped earlier in the day, the rose was still fresh and vibrant red. It is not know at what point the rose was burnt.
Howard Examined – several items that had been seemingly burnt or touched by an entity in the house.
Remnants of the Burnt Mop Doll – Howard Heim examines the remnants of the charred mop doll that had burst into flames during a family Christmas party. He was curious that only the center of the hat (not the brim), and the nape of the neck of the doll had burned.
