As far as the scratches that Tony received on virtually all but a few investigations, we have theorized that there are two possible reasons for them. The first being that the energy of spirit generated them, the second, that Tony himself unknowingly caused them via a discharge of his highly emotional state of mind; the scratches being the release of his own energy (This theory will be detailed more extensively under the heading of theories)
As we looked back, each and every instance of scratching can be attributed to this emotional state. In either of the above situations, we may have misinterpreted the activity as confrontational. I feel it is far more likely that the scratches were a release of Tony’s energy rather than the spirits defense against his.
Although, I believe that the spirits currently in the house are open to continued study and communication; I also believe whole heartedly, that all investigators need to be very cautious as there is a dark is energy able to interact and influence individuals beyond the scope of the house. This negative energy seems to feed on the fears and negativity of those that approach the house.
Having our current work in hand, I must give into the thoughts that there was a negative presence in the house when we lived there. At this time, it has not yet been defined beyond the fact that it was indeed negative and had influence upon Tony. And over the last several years, other investigative groups have reported a similar and distinct negativity feeling or psychic impression. For the most part this has been a unanimous impression by all recent psychics entering or otherwise connected to the house.
Of course this has been a major and chilling admittance on my part, and something that has pushed its way to the forefront of all our investigative work. We’ve been forced to acknowledge this negative energy and weigh our desire for activity and evidence with caution and safety.
With this said and whatever the dynamics of the house at the time we lived there was, it has changed over the years. This has made it more difficult to understand what took place then, and is due to the fact that people travel with their own spirits, which are around them as they go about their everyday activities. These spirits linger at the Sallie house, interact with the residential spirits there, and with the humans that come and go over time. As this house has become somewhat of a bus station, their continually growing numbers certainly adds to the already long list of spirits we have attempted to and continue to identify and understand.
So, in summation, have we got what we believe are many answers to why and what took place in the house when we lived there? I would have to ay I am very comfortable with the knowledge we have gained over the years and of which seem to support the theories we have put forth as well as fit the experiences we had. Does the work, we, and others have done answer all the questions we had? No, I don’t believe that we will ever obtain all the answers in any case we or others work because it seems that for every question you have answered you gain enough incite or information to ask even more in order to acquire an even deeper understanding.
Can we walk away from this case satisfied with what we have learned? I believe so. I believe it is time that we took what we have learned, surmised and theorized and apply it to other cases and other locations. In doing so we will undoubtedly further our understanding of the spirit world.
