Our group with two other people spent the night at the house recording with a Sony Hi 8 video camera and two analog voice recorders, both Sony.
This was our first time to the house and Les met us there to let us in. The owner had been fixing the place up and had a couple older radios in the house. We also met up with two women that wanted to come in for a few minutes to check out the house.
While working on the house Les brought in a couple radios one upstairs and one downstairs and the one downstairs was playing when we went into the house. Just a couple minutes later we were walking the owner to the front door and as he crossed the threshold several of us decided to go upstairs to see what was up there. I just started to lift a foot to go up and I could hear the radio upstairs. As we ascended the stair case the volume of the radio continued to increase until it would not go any louder. We said hello to the unseen, turned the radio off and unplugged it.
Besides this little bit of excitement the other evidence we got was a single evp captured in the nursery. I believe it is the voice of “Sallie”, saying “stay put”. Had someone told her to stay put and now she was repeating what she had been told or is she just playing with her toys?
Note of interest: Our group had a different approach to investigating this location since no one was living there at the time. Our group goes in and stays at the location. Many groups investigate by staying at another location and run back and forth. Some leave equipment running and come back to change tapes, while others only record when they are asking questions. Different groups get different results and I am sure this is at least in part the reason there can be such a difference in the results obtained.
