Thursday night June 9th my family went to Red Lobster for our birthday dinner and going away event. We were gone a little more than two hours and when we came home the washing machine was running with about 12 minutes left. I asked Allan and Troy if they had started the washer because the clothes that were in there were the same clothes I had already washed in the middle of the afternoon. We have a Maytag front load that shows how many minutes you are setting the wash at. I checked the settings, normal, no delay wash or anything which means the machine runs for about 50 minutes. When the cycle finished I took the clothes out closed the door and started it again to check the time for those settings. It said 50 some minutes just like I thought because it is the normal settings we use. When the washer started the three of us were in the middle of our dinner at Red Lobster. This stuff started to happen with much more regularity and honestly I have no idea how much stuff the ghosts did that I just brushed off as animal related. Blame the dog if you can.
EVP notes of interest:
“Tootsie pop” -not to be confused with tootsie roll that came out in the early 1900’s, Tootsie pop was not invented until the 1930’s
I found this EVP interesting because most of the psychics say Sallie is from the late 1800’s or first ten years of the 1900’s. I have heard about using clues like this to date the ghosts. I have also read several books that talk about the fact that ghosts never learn anything after they die so they are kind of stopped in the time of their death. For every “fact” you find on the Internet you can find a “fact” to contradict the other.
Debra also says that Barbra Conner was there when they smelled kool-aid. Checking the years Kool-aid was first marketed we found that it was also the 1930’s so it gave us reason to give a little more thought to such a cute seemingly nonsense EVP. Barbra stated it was Sallie’s way of telling them what she liked.
From this one EVP we had to stop and think what this should be telling us if anything. Were we looking for at the correct years to find her death? Does this prove that she had learned from other children living in the house or the scores of ghosts passing through?
If they are still learning is it unique to this house or could the psychic be wrong or possibly I just didn’t understand or remember enough of what I read about ghosts not learning after their death?
