On our first visit I had my son (Troy) and a friend (Cole) of his come with us. This friend’s family is involved with building and selling houses and his dad just sold a home to a woman and her husband that moved from Atchison. My son’s friend heard her make this comment in passing and asked if she knew of the Sallie story.
They put her in contact with me and after a few minutes I told her that Jerry was in the group and he grew up in Atchison. She was a little older than he was but she had gone to school with some of Jerry’s siblings and Jerry’s mother had been her scout troupe leader.
For a couple weeks before our visit on March 19th I had been getting all sorts of information from her that I could drive Jerry crazy with. I told Jeannine if she was interested just to come on over so Jerry could see who had been giving me the information.
I had been contacted by a woman a few years ago that wanted to know about some pictures she had taken. After visiting with her several years she finally told me that she and her husband might have some psychic ability. What better place to find out but this house, so I asked them to come along too.
My son, home on spring break, decided he didn’t want to miss out on any of this so he came along too! (Might also mention that my son was 21 at the time so we were NOT distracted by children) Jerry was all excited because it was the spring equinox. Well hey we all get excited by different things don’t we?
I will be the first to say that I felt something different in the air this time. I have NEVER felt threatened at this house so I will just put that right out there for anyone who is reading and waiting to hear about the first time I ran out of the house screaming. It hasn’t happened and in light of other experience I have had I don’t see that happening.
What ever it was we had no doubts they were right there with us, all around us. It is the only night in this house that I experienced the snapping and cracking going on around me at least with the frequency it was happening.
It almost seemed as though the ghosts were agitated a bit and yet we recorded a woman singing and humming. There is a very strong female in the house and this was her voice as I later get to know her.
